Apolis co-founder and creative director Raan Parton is opening a new retail storefront in the Arts District with his wife Lindsay Parton later this fall. Separate from the successful Apolis brand created by Raan and his brother Shea Parton (together, the siblings created and continue to run the internationally known collection of men’s apparel, luggage, accessories, and home goods), the husband-wife team of Alchemy Works plans to offer similar quality brands that complement, but do not include, the stylish family line.
In addition to menswear, the Parton couple’s “lifestyle gallery” will sell women’s clothing and shoes, photography, vintage collectibles, home décor, and hard-to-find unusual items. Once opened (expected sometime in mid to late November), the store’s operating hours are planned for Monday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Alchemy Works is located on 3rd St. across the street from Guerilla Atelier and just east of Apolis, Poketo, and Wurstküche near Traction Ave. (NOTE: The newly opened organic beverages company CAN CAN Cleanse also shares space in the recently revamped 826. E. 3rd St. building, along with soon-to-be-relocated corporate offices for Wurstküche. In addition, down the street from Alchemy Works, luxury handcrafted home goods company MATTEO seems to be getting ready to reopen its showroom at 912 E. 3rd St.)
