ON VIEW THRU AUGUST 3, 2023: This year’s juried exhibition at Archway Gallery featured works by 43 Houston artists.

This year’s juror was John Bernhard, a Swiss-born artist, photographer, designer, and writer who traveled extensively before settling in Houston in 1980. Founder of Bernhard Associates in 1984, he has specialized in corporate branding and identity programs for local industry while concurrently pursuing a career in fine art. He has exhibited his work in more than 30 solo shows, three museum exhibitions, and numerous group exhibitions. In January 2018, Bernhard was named Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Houston. For the past nine years, Bernhard has served as publisher and editor-in-chief of ArtHouston, the only magazine devoted exclusively to the arts in Houston.
