ON VIEW THRU SEPTEMBER 30, 2023: Check out the fountain pen ink art by artist Dan Workman who, by day, is a psychotherapist whose clients are primarily creative professionals and who speaks publicly on the importance of creativity in mental health. A former punk/experimental guitarist, he transitioned into a mainstream music career as the co-owner and engineer/producer of the iconic SugarHill Studios in Houston, Texas, which he sold in 2017 to pursue a career in clinical social work.

Early in 2023, Wayne Gilbert encouraged Woodman to show his fountain pen ink art. No one knew that this would be the last show at Gilbert’s gallery (he passed away on August 17, 2023). Gilbert’s final text to the artist was to ensure that this exhibition would go on no matter what.
