FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2023 ONLY: Inspired by the colorful scenes in the small Mexican nicho boxes for Day of the Dead, Chicana artist Tina Hernandez created three colorful self-portraits for her latest project. Her series “Nichos of the Afterlife” incorporates the artist’s Chicana experience, crafting, prop making, self-portraiture, and photography.
