ON VIEW THRU DECEMBER 16, 2023: Works by nine artists are featured in this multi-year curatorial project: Rabea Ballin, Sheila Pree Bright, Tay Butler, Robert Hodge, Ann ‘Sole Sister’ Johnson, Tierney Malone, David McGee, Jason Moran, and Lovie Olivia. “Sankofa” is Ghanaian for “one must acknowledge the past in order to move forward.” Launched in 2020, three artists were commissioned each year to examine historical events leading to the social unrest and racial reckoning of today.
