ON VIEW THRU DECEMBER 1, 2023: The 11 artists in this BLOCK program have spent a year “looking out” together. To “look out” can mean many things: to engage visually, watch over, protect, survey one’s place, or work toward community and building trust. The artists’ practices have become more expansive and experimental as they have refined their methods, solved material questions, grown into community, and engaged with new vocabularies.

The BLOCK XXIII exhibition features work by Vernon Caldera, Alexandra Constantinou, Marina Fernandez, Robert Fox, Holly Josey, Margaret O’Brien-Nelson, Lia Rodi, Suzette Schutze, Sherry Tseng Hill, Chet Urban, and Michelle Whitney.
