ON VIEW THRU OCTOBER 21, 2023: Composed of discarded materials, Bethany Johnson‘s works are densely laminated, composite forms that resemble rock strata and that gesture at the anthropogenic geology of landfills. The satin surfaces evoke the hand-worn patina of worry stones, and the material transformation offers a new alchemical life to otherwise discarded waste.
