ON VIEW THRU JANUARY 6, 2024: “Jose Cisneros: A Colorful World in Black and White” and “Ode to East Texas: The Art of Lee Jamison” at Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts (6815 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX 77379)

José Cisneros: A Colorful World in Black & White” is a retrospective exhibit celebrating the life and art of this Mexican-American immigrant who escaped a revolution and used his talents to bring the history of the Spanish southwest to life for countless people. This exhibit follows Cisneros’ life and shares how his artistic style and skill grew and changed over the course of his lifetime.

On view in the Main Gallery, “Ode to East Texas: The Art of Lee Jamison” features works by this Huntsville artist spent more than a year exploring, sketching and journaling his way through East Texas. The result is a rich record of the land and culture as viewed through the eyes of an accomplished painter.
