ON VIEW THRU AUGUST 6, 2023: “Still Working: After the Fire” showcases works by artists adversely affected by a devastating fire at Winter Street Studios in December 2022. Participating artists include Erika Alonso, Marie Casamayor-Harvey, Vivian Hordes, and Olga Tarasova.

Due to the fire, artists and businesses in the community lost studio spaces, countless artworks, equipment, and treasured personal belongings. This incident activated Houston’s art community to support the Winter Street Studio artists to recover from not only the physical contents that were lost in the fire, but the financial and emotional obstacles that come with enduring this level of tragedy.
