I am MUSED.
ON VIEW THRU DECEMBER 2, 2023: Sculpture Month Houston hosts a yearly exhibition of sculptures and three-dimensional art designed and structured as site-specific installations. This year’s exhibition title of “The Sleep of Reason” refers to a famous etching by Francisco Goya, part of the “Los Caprichos” series published in 1835.
The exhibition aims to explore the directions and trajectory of figurative art as practiced by artists in our city and state. How do these works compare and connect to the figurative concepts that percolate throughout the contemporary art world?
