ONE DAY ONLY: Cothren Contemporary is hosting its popular brunch — this time, at the private studio of Houston-based contemporary painter Janice Freeman. Freeman’s colorful abstractions embrace her deep-rooted connection and love for rivers, Texas and Mexico, and the duality of her nomadic nature. Soulful art and conversation, LALO tequila con paleta cocktails, Latin brunch bites and music by accordionist Alex Harrover and upright bass player Max Winningham.
