She moved to Texas in 1982 and began her formal education at The Art Institute of Houston in Graphic Design and Photography. Graphic design has a major influence on her photography. Her photographs are a graphic representation of her vision. Lines, space and shadows are always present. Composition is very important for her and she loves to do it right on the viewfinder of her camera, making each image a work of art. A co-founder of Images by K&A (2006 to 2018), she is also a commercial photographer known for her naturally lit portraits of families, graduating high school seniors, and sororities. In 1986, she established Paola Isola Photography and her fine art photography has been exhibited in galleries across the United States.
